Documents needed for crossing the border into Canada

	Canada Customs invoice	Required if commercial invoice is missing.
	Exporter's Statement of Origin	Is used to decrease the duty if the goods originate in a developing country (the list of developing countries).
	NAFTA Statement of Origin	For duty exemption of goods of the USA and Mexican origin valued less than CAD 1600.00 .
	NAFTA Certificate of Origin	For duty exemption of goods of the USA and Mexican origin valued more than CAD 1600.00 .

...documents for importers and their vendors. Each shipment must be supplied with a commercial invoice or Canada Customs invoice (one of the documents on the left).

If the goods are dutiable a NAFTA Certificate of Origin is needed for duty exemption.

It is the responsibility of the exporter (vendor) to issue and supply these documents.
